STEM Integration

As both a math and science teacher, STEM integration is a passion of mine. Using technology tools to engage students in both math and science simultaneously is incredibly powerful.

School Air Quality

This project was created for a graduate level mathematics education class at Montclair State University. The assignment was to promote civic engagement through mathematics, particularly through the mathematics of measurement.

The mission of this project is to raise awareness about air quality in schools and classrooms. The Covid-19 pandemic brought a lot of awareness to the issue of air quality in classrooms, as good ventilation and air quality became necessary to reduce the spread of the virus. However, there are many reasons to pay attention to indoor air quality (IAQ) in schools. This includes affects on the health and performance of all members of the school community.
